Account & Data Deletion
Last updated: February 2026
About Survol
Survol is a mobile application developed by Survol that transforms your flight path into a cultural, geographic, and scientific journey. This page explains how you can request the deletion of your account and all associated personal data.
How to Request Account Deletion
You can delete your account directly in the Survol app:
- Open Settings
- Tap Manage Account
- Open Delete Data
- Confirm deletion using the press-and-hold control
If you cannot access the app, contact:
Data That Will Be Deleted
When deletion is confirmed, we permanently delete:
- Account information — email address, name, authentication credentials
- Profile record — account profile fields associated with your user ID
- Billing linkage — entitlement and usage rows linked to your account profile
- Device-linked local cache — account/session data stored by the app on your device
Data That May Be Retained
Some records are retained after account deletion:
- Journey history — journeys and journey-linked records are preserved with ownership removed (anonymized by clearing the user link)
- Anonymized analytics — aggregated, non-identifiable usage statistics may be retained
- Legal obligations — records required by applicable law may be retained for legally required durations
What Happens After Deletion
Once your account is deleted:
- You will no longer be able to log in to the Survol app
- If you continue using the app, a new anonymous guest account may be created
- Subscriptions purchased via app stores are not canceled automatically and must be managed in your App Store / Google Play subscriptions
- Your deletion is permanent and cannot be undone — you would need to create a new account to use Survol again
